Support to Devolution Partnership Facility (WB)

Description

The Kenya Devolution Partnership Facility (KDPF) strengthens Kenya's new devoluted governance system and supports county governments to perform duties set by the new constitution. The facility aims to ensure that 1) the authorities are capable of providing services that belong to all Kenyans and 2) all citizens have the possibility to participate in the public administration and decision-making. Thus the Facility improves equality and reduces discrimination among the Kenyans and increases the accountability of the authorities. KDPF is a basket fund administered by the World Bank. The bugdet of the programme for the years 2015-2017 is 11,4 MUSD, Finland's share being 3,6 MUSD. Also DFID, USAid, EU and Sweden contribute to the KDPF.
