On Saturday the 25th of April a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Central and Western Regions of Nepal. There are 8 million people affected in 39 districts, the number of dead is over 4 300 and injured about 8 000. Numbers can still crow. Finn Church Aid responds to the immediate needs by providing shelter, non-food items, WASH and psychosocial support. 500 households will be assisted, 30 Nepali psychosocial support practitioners will receive support. This group will assist people in 30 affected communities. 1000 school children will benefit from the activities to be carried out in the education sector.
