Global Partnership for Education, GPE

Finland has been a partner in the Global Partnership for Education since its inception as EFA Fast Track Initiative in 2002. Finland is co-funding bilaterally and through multilateral channels education sector programs in a number of GPE countries, and thus we are working closely with GPE in many contexts (e.g. Ethiopia, Mozambique, Nepal). Education has obtained a higher priority in the present Government’s Development Policy Programme.
