WHO; Ebola Outbreak Immediate Response in West Africa (Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone)
Description
Outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease in Western Africa calls for immediate response interventions to be implemented in the affected countries Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, in order not to become a global problem. The objective of the Action Plan for Ebola Outbreak Response of World Health Organization is to stop transmission of Ebola through effective and evidence-based outbreak control measures, enhancinging coordination and collaboration of all health actors and scaling-up of human and financial resource mobilization. WHO was mandated to step up its action to lead and coordinate the international response to the outbreak in the Ministerial Meeting in Accra 2-3 July 2014.
