Majority of the population in Yemen is in need of food assistance. The total figure is 14,7 million people. WFP targets operations to the areas that need the most the assistance and focuses it's activities on malnourished children, pregnant and lactating mothers and internally displaced people. The total number of beneficiaries is 5,3 million people. Funding needs of WFP for six months in Yemen are 325 million USD in 2014. Humanitarian assistance 1,5 MEUR.
