SO/Maternity Clinic and Training Project

The FinSom maternity clinic was founded in 2005 in the middle of a warlike situation. The clinic has become a established and respected slinic in the area and continues its activities despite the continuing difficulties. Due to war and destruction in the surrounding neighbourhood the nearest hospital is in the distance of two days instead of the earlier 30 km. The new project aims to improve the capacity of the clinc to take care of the emergency cases. The awareness raising to prevent FGM will continue as in earlier projects as well as the training of local traditional birth attendants.
