UNDP New Deal Implementation Support Facility

Description

The International Dialogue for Peacebuilding and Statebuilding (IDPS), which is co-chaired by International Development Minister Pekka Haavisto, and the network of fragile states, g7+, presented in 2011 their plan New Deal for Engagement in Fragile States (New Deal). New Deal offers a model for peacebuilding and statebuilding. UNDP´s New Deal Implementation Support Facility is the only existing mechanism which supports the implementation of New Deal and strengthens the g7+ group. Finland supports the mechanisms with 2 million euros in 2014-15.
