UNHCR, regional humanitarian aid to the Syrian crisis

Support to the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR, for its operations in Syria and the neighbouring countries as part of the consolidated appeals for Syria (Syria Humanitarian Assistance Response Plan, SHARP) and the regional appeal (Syria Regional Refugee Response Plan, RRP6). UNHCR is carrying out a refugee operation of historical proportions in Syria's neighbouring countries (Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, Egypt) to provide assistance to over 2,4 million refugees. it also provides humanitarian aid to over three million internally displaced persons in syria. UNHCR needs over 1,6 billion USD (1,2 billion euros) to its operations for the Syria crisis, which makes up nearly a third of the organization's global budget.
