INT/European Centre for Development Policy Management
Description
The European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) is an independent foundation, created in 1986 with a view to strengthening capacities in the ACP/Africa and improving relations between the EU and ACP/African countries. ECPDM produces independent and practical analysis, advice and information and facilitates strategic policy processes and offers training. Finland has supported ECDPM since 1998. Finland supports ECDPM with core funding of total 465 000 euros for the years 2016-2018. In addition, ECDPM is requested to provide training and/or seminars for the MFA in yearly bases (20 000/year). Centre supports development policy planning and decision-making on EU-ACP relations by providing current and quality research information and training. Cooperation indirectly supports the development goals to reduce poverty, as well as economically and socially sustainable development and promoting policy coherence for development.
