Combatting silent violence against younger children in post-conflict districts of northern Uganda

The overall objective of the action is to contribute to the reduction of all forms of violence against children of 0-8 years of age in post-conflict northern Uganda within homes and communities. Northern Uganda is just recovering from a long insurgency and children are experiencing high levels of violence at all levels of society. The action aims to mobilize parents as a positive force for children's wellbeing, linking them with local child protection authorities and public service providers. Moreover the action targets both local and national government in order to improve its capacities to develop and implement comprehensive policies that address prevention and response to violence against children at all levels.
