REG/Humanitarian aid to famine in Western Africa

Sahel region has suffered on constant food crisis during the last 10 years. Mali crisis has worsened the situation. Estimated number of people in food insecurity is 20,2 million and 5 million children under 5 is acutely malnourished. Appeal for Sahel region for humanitarian assistance in 2014 is 2 billion USD. Humanitarian assistance to Western Africa, 1 MEUR. Aid covers Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso and Mauritania.
