On Saturday the 25th of April a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Central and Western Regions of Nepal. There are 8 million people affected in 39 districts, the number of dead is over 4 300 and injured about 8 000. Numbers can still crow. Save the Children operation provides food, cash transfers, non-food item, clean water and sanitation materials to 24 000 beneficiaries. The number of children out of 24 000 is 16 000 (8000 girls and 8000 boys).
