Msingi Girls to School Project

Msingi Friendship Association ja Songela Development Association are building a dormitorio for girls in Msingi. The project was started because parents do not want to send their daughters to school, when the distance to school is long. In Tanzania the inflation is very high. The expenses have overrun the budget, even though the villagers have made a lot of voluntary work. In the end of 2012 the house should be ready, but interior work is completely undone and some of the windows and doors are still missing. Students may not move in, before the interior work is done. The original budget, which was made by the Tanzanian partner, was very optimistic and incomplete. During the first half of 2013 the house should be finished and furnishing completed. Furniture, such as double-decker beds and wardrobes are made by student work at local Folk Development College.
