ILO/Decent and Safe Jobs in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan
Description
In the framework of "Wider Europe Initiative" International Labour Office ILO has been implementing in 2010-2013 a project "From the Crisis towards Decent and Safe Jobs in Southern Caucasus and Central Asia". The project aimed at assisting the national partners (Government, Trade Unions and Employers´ Organisations) to put into practise the prioritites that they have themselves identified in the pursuit of Decent Work. The main pillars have been occupational safety and health, employment and social protection. The project was funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs with 4 million euros. Phase II of the project will be implemented in 2014-17 in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. It will continue with the same goals as the previous phase, concentrating on the implementation of Decent Work Country Programmes. Total budget of the project phase II is 4 million euros.
