VN/Scaling up hand washing with soap in ethnic minorities in Lao Cai

The aim of the project is to promote behavioural change in hygienic customs through teaching about handwashing with soap in Northern Vietnam in Lao Cai province.The primary target group are the ethnic minorities in the rural highlands and towards the end of the project also all of the population of in Lao Cai. The promotional work will utilise culturally sensitive approaches as well as participatory methods. The local partner is NIHE who collaborates with local health clinics and health authority.
