Economic Empowerment of Roma, Askhali and Egyptian Communities in Kosovo

Description

The aim of the project is to empower the Kosovo Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities in Suhareka municipality.According to Human Development Report 2004 these minority groups are among the most marginalised and poor communities in Kosovo. They haven't been integrated fully to the educational system and analphabetism and unemployment is high among these groups. The project intends to give agricultural and entrepreneurial training especially to the youth so that their employment opportunities would increase. This would also enhance their social acceptance in the Kosovo society.
