Technical Assistance to the General Education Quality Improvement Programmme for Equity

The project provides technical assistance for the implementation of the General Education Quality Improvement Programmme for Equity (GEQIP-E) in Ethiopia. In the long term, the project's aim is to support the GEQIP-E to achieve the planned results related to equity and inclusion. The outcomes of the programme are: 1) Strengthened support systems enabling inclusive education 2)Strengthened capcities fro equitable and inclusive education and 3) Improved evidence base for planning and management of equitable and inclusive education. Finland has previously supported with its bilateral projects the development of inclusive education in Ethiopia by training teachers, piloting inclusive education resource centers and producing materials and supporting the preparation of strategies. The duration of the project is 3 years and the budget is 850 000 euros.
