Kehyssopimus/Suomen Punainen Risti


To support Finnish Red Cross's (FRC) Development Cooperation Programme through Partnership Agreement. The programme consists of two thematic areas in 2013 - 2015: Community-Based Health Programmes and Community-Based Disaster Preparedness (DP) and Risk Reduction Programmes that are implemented first in 27 and later on in 22 in countries in Africa, Asia, Central Asia and Latin America in partnership with the national Red Cross/Red Crescent Society (RC/RC). Besides providing support to community-based health and DP activities, the programme supports the organizational development and capacity building of the partner RC/RC Societies to improve the quality and impact of supported community activities. In addition, through its programme FRC is able to support global programme development at the Red Cross the focus of which is on integrating cross-cutting objectives in climate change adaptation into Red Cross ways of working in risk reduction and to improve the promotion of gender equality and diversity and social inclusion in both health and DP programmes.
