UNHCR/Strengthening protection of persons with disabilities in forced displacement

The general goal of the project is to facilitate the global implementation of UNHCR's guidance on disability. The project especially aims to strengthen the protection of persons with disabilities in situations of forced displacement. The project focuses on developing institutional capacity at the agency, country and field level. The project will improve the capacity of eight UNHCR country operations to include persons with disabilities in their programme and ensure disability inclusion in country programmes.
