INT/Organizational support for the Finnish Committee for UNICEF
Description
The association is the national committee of the United Nations Children's Fund. UNICEF is the guardian of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the Convention forms the basis for the programme and advocacy work both domestically and internationally. UNICEF Finland promotes the well-being of the children in the development countries by collecting funds to the programmes implemented by United Nations Children's Fund. The national committees commit a minimum of 75% of the fundraised resources to UNICEF’s Regular Resources. The association also carries out significant development education and information work focusing on the UN Sustainable Development Goals from a child’s position and rights point of view. The Finnish Committee for UNICEF applies the organisational support for the general activities as well information and development education.
