INGO/International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims

Description

Core support for the International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRTC) which is a health-based umbrella organization that supports the rehabilitation of torture victims and the prevention of torture worldwide. IRCT was founded in 1985, initially as the international arm of the Rehabilitation and Research Centre for Torture Victims, and from 1997 as an independent international membership organization. IRCT aims to ensure that torture victims are able to access appropriate health-based torture rehabilitation services, that torture victims are able to have full access to justice, and to contribute towards the prevention of torture worldwide.
