Spring 2014: a total of 7 million euros will be granted to ICRC operations. Of this, 1 500 000 euros are for the Committee's South Sudan operation, 2 500 000 euros for its Somalia operation, 1 200 000 euros for its Congo DRC operation, 1 000 000 for Mali operation and 800 000 for Niger operation. Humanitarian assistance to the International Committee of the Red Cross operations is channeled via Finnish Red Cross. Focus is on conflict areas. Work concentrates on health, food security, water and sanitation, protection, restoring of family links, spreading information on IHL and Red Cross and Crescent principles, protection of detainees and prisoners of war.
