Humanitarian aid to UNHCR's operation in Ethiopia. The Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR, provides assistance to over 400 000 refugees in Ethiopia who have fled the neighbouring countries due to instability, violence or famine. The number of refugees is increasing rapidly due to the crisis in South Sudan. The bulk of the budget, a total of around 149 million euros for 2014, will be used for meeting the basic needs of the refugees.
