Cooperation between higher education institutions


The purpose of the programme is to strengthen Eritrean Higher Education Institutions as developmentally responsive institutions by enhancing administrative, field-specific, methodological and pedagogical capacity. The programme will be implemented as an institutional cooperation between Finnish and Eritrean Higher education Institutions, who can jointly apply for funding for projects lasting a maximum of 2 years. The programme will be managed by Center for International Mobilisation, CIMO. The HEI's are responsible for the implementation of projects. The overall objective of the Eritrea Programme is to support the development of sustainable institutional capacity in HEIs so that higher education can contribute to the development of society, build competencies with national development goals, and contribute to the goals of inclusive sustainable development and reduction of poverty. The overall budget of the programme is 2 377 500 euros.
