The African Peacebuilding Coordination Programme (APCP)
Description
The African Peacebuilding Coordination Programme (APCP) was established by ACCORD and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland in June 2007. The Programme has focused on enhancing coherence and coordination in peacebuilding, with the aim of promoting and enhancing local ownership in peacebuilding processes, as well as supporting the design and implementation of peacebuilding policy frameworks. The overall objective of the phase III is supporting enhanced coherence and coordination, across the peace, security, humanitarian, development and human rights dimensions, in peacebuilding operations in Africa, in support of the attainment of just and sustainable peace in countries emerging from conflict.
