Sustainable Forest Management in a Changing Climate

Description

The Programme has concentrated on building capacity, developing and testing methodologies and delivering best practices and methods at the national level for four different Outcome areas: developing forest inventories, information systems, NFPs, governance, SFM and communication. About 55 percent of the total 14 million euro budget was allocated to the five pilot countries and regional activities. The funds allocated for the countries are based on bilateral agreements between FAO and the country and it is foreseen that the funding is adequate for completion of the agreed activities by 2014.
