INT/Save the Children Finland
Description
Save the Children Finland’s 2014-2016 Partnership Programme focuses on three key areas: Education, Protection and Child Rights Governance (CRG). The two cross-cutting themes, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Child-sensitive Social Protection (CSSP), are integrated into the Programme. The focus in education is on improving access, quality and safety of basic education for the most vulnerable children. Developing and promoting inclusive education and early childhood education for all children are central to our work. In child protection we will focus on preventing violence and promoting appropriate care by strengthening families and family and community based care and preventing family separations. Through Child Rights Governance program we create and promote enabling environments to ensure child rights in the societies and communities where we work. As all the Programme is implemented in disaster prone areas, we have integrated a Disaster Risk Reduction component to all projects. Programme will be implemented in SCF’s long-term programme countries in East-Africa, West-Africa and South-Asia. We expect to reach 1 060 000 children and 340 000 children will benefit directly from programme activities.
