INT/Associate Expert Program

Description

Personal assistance through multilateral channels and building up a Finnish human resource base for international assignments, thus supporting the UN Reform. Finland supports the recruitment of young professional officers (JPO's), UN Volunteers (UNV's) and EU Junior Experts in Delegation (JED's) in the service of international organizations as an instrument of its multilateral development cooperation. The programme aims at placing Finnish nationals more or less permanently within multilateral organizations or elsewhere. Besides, it aims at increasing the number of competent Finnish Development professionals in development-related tasks, at increasing the understanding of Finnish experts of multilateral development cooperation, and at bringing the Finnish value-added and know-how to the international stage.
