Humanitarian assistance; Finn Church Aid

On the 8th of July Israel started air strike towards the Palestinian territory in Gaza. So far (28.7.2014) 999 Palestinias have been killed and 6233 injured. 76 % of the victims are civilians. Homes of 3695 families have been destroyed or severly damaged. Number of people in need of shelter-related assistance is about 215 000. Finn Church Aid's support is directed to 1500 IDP families, who are staying with the relatives or friends. These families need help with the shelter, food and basic items. Operation will take 6 months and it is implemented together with the already established partners Danish Church Aid and local actors.
