UNHCR, regional humanitarian aid to the Syrian crisis

UNHCR implements the largest operation ever in its history to help 4,2 million refugees in the neighboring countries of Syria. The need for assistance for UN this year 2015 is altogether 4,5 billion USD (about 4,1 billion €). The aim is to protect and give assistance to refugees and to host communities in Libanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt. The regional needs for UNHCR are over 1,3 billion USD (1,2 billion €) of which 62 % so far of the year is covered.
