INT/Nordic Africa Institute

Description

The Nordic Africa Institute (NAI) is a research institution tasked to undertake and encourage studies on contemporary African or Africa-related issues by scholars in mainly the Nordic and African countries. The institute supports Finnish, Scandinavian and African researchers capacity on the development research related issues and also networking. Finland´s long term general support to the Nordic Africa-Institute is targeted to research, seminars, conferences, publications, library and enhancing policy dialogue. Aim is to strengthen the Nordic research on current topics on developing countries, developing country researchers´ human capacity and also support the general goals of strengthening global partnership (MDG8). Activities contribute indirectly to development objectives of poverty reduction. Support is ODA eligible.
