Description
Finnish-Bhutanese ICI-project for Improved capacity of the Government of Bhutan aims to respond to the increased risks related to climate change, like storms, drought and flooding. The purpose of the project of the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) and Bhutan Department of Hydro-Met Services is to increase the capacity of Bhutanese hydrological and meteorological services. The project develops a Data Management System to improve the quality of the hydrological and meteorological observations in Bhutan. The Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) also trains their Bhutanese colleagues for quality weather observations and to use and maintain their own equipment.
