Peace and Development in Finland's Development Cooperation
Description
The purpose of the evaluation is to provide information on how Finnish development cooperation has supported poverty reduction and strengthened peace and development in fragile states. The evaluation takes as its starting point the guidelines ‘Development and Security in Finland’s Development Policy’ published in 2009 and examines how the priorities of the guidelines have been implemented at the country level and if Finnish development cooperation has provided an effective contribution to support peace and development in partner countries. The evaluation will focus on the ways cross-cutting objectives have been taken into account in Finnish cooperation and record lessons learned and best practises. Finally, the evaluation will also examine the implementation of aid effectiveness commitments and their relation to achieved results.
