The strategy for bilateral development cooperation between Finland and Tanzania concentrates on three main clusters: 1) Good governance and basic service delivery, 2) sustainable land and natural resources management as well as 3) economic growth which is sustainable and creates employment. The main instruments for cooperation are budget support, sector support, program and project support. The purpose of the planning funds is to improve the implementation and quality of Finland's development cooperation.The planning funds will be used for costs related to the preparation, assessment and monitoring of development cooperation between Finland and Tanzania, for the promotion of donor coordination, for studies, evaluations, meetingsand training as well as for travel costs related to cooperation.
