ND Conference, Beyond Mediation: Authentic National Dialogues - Reflecting on Emerging and On-Going National Dialogue Processes
Description
The Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Common Space Initiative (CSI), Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission (FELM), UNDP Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery (BCPR), and other partners are jointly organizing a mediation related conference on emerging and on-going national dialogue processes. The main objective of the conference is to provide a forum for national stakeholders from various, especially specific ODA, countries to share and reflect together their experiences from national dialogue processes. The second objective is to reflect the practice and theory of the national dialogue concept and its relationship and complementarity with mediation. The outcome of the conference would ideally strengthen the trust between state and civic society, and reinforce societal stability, reconstruction and development in the participating countries. The aim is to produce a publication of the conference report.
