International Peace Institute (IPI); Africa Program

Description What is done in the programme or project and why, what results are pursued, who benefits from the activities and who are involved in the implementation.

IPI’s Africa Program will sustain its support to the African Union’s Panel of the Wise and will explore ways to expand its partnership with African subregional organizations. The Program will keep a strong focus on elections in Africa. In collaboration with the United Nations Office for West Africa (UNOWA) and Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), IPI will organize seminars and roundtables on elections. The Program will also continue organizing meetings on Africa in New York, including its African Leaders Series, to help raise the profile of important African issues in the UN community.
