International and multidisciplinary training program in global health

Description What is done in the programme or project and why, what results are pursued, who benefits from the activities and who are involved in the implementation.

The project addresses uneven global distribution of health. Successful progress in global health development, e.g. achievement of the health related UN Millenium Development Goals, requires that responsible professionals know worldwide variation in health, health systems and health interventions and share a positive vision for global health development. Reaqching this target is, however, hindered as health professionals all over the world are mainly trained to tackle health from a local or national perspective.
