REG/Improving West-African Capacities in Mediation and Peace Process

Description

The project aims to contribute to West-African capacity-building in conflict prevention through the creation of a training programme for multi-track mediation and conflict analysis targeting key decision-makers in the region. After the identification of stakeholders, peace-mediation professionals and civil society representatives are interviewed and filmed for training purposes. Workshops are organised for members of civil society and diplomats in order to share experiences and recommendations on work in peace processes. Thereafter a workshop for conflict analysis is organised in order to develop good practice and policy options. All information is gathered and used for the creation of the training programme. The pilot course will take 30 participants who will evaluate the course for its further development.
