YEM/Supporting State-Tribe Dialogue
Description
The goal is to stabilise the country through strengthening the government and involving civil society. This is done by opening a state-tribal dialogue and this way enhancing mutual trust. CMI and PY map the basic conflict items and possible solutions by interviewing the stakeholders. These results are gathered and used for another round of interviews. These outcomes are drawn into a first draft of a common agenda to be discussed in various workshops with the stakeholders. The goal is to agree on a common action plan for improving reciprocity and mutual trust. Then a national seminar will be organised in order to communicate the results and raise a nationwide dialogue for reconciliation. CMI plans to publish a research paper on the topic of national dialogue for peacebuilding in weak states.
