UNHCR, regional humanitarian aid to the Syrian crisis

UNHCR implements the largest operation ever in its history to help nearly 5 million refugees in the neighboring countries of Syria. The needs for assistance for the UN this year 2016 are altogether 4,55 billion USD (about 4,1 billion €). The aim is to protect and give assistance to refugees and to host communities in Libanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt. The regional needs for UNHCR are 836 USD.
