PEGASE is the European mechanism launched in 2008 by the European Commission. The aim of PEGASE was primarily to support the goals of state building by contributing to the aims of the Palestine Reform and Development Plan (PRDP – 2008-2010) and its successor, the Palestine National Plan (PNP – 2010-2013) and by providing Direct Financial Support to the Palestinian Administration (PA) in key priority areas. The core components of PEGASE are i) Support to Civil Servants and Pensioners, ii) Support to Vulnerable Palestinian Families, Support to Civil Servants and Pensioners, iii) Payment of Private Sector Arrears iv) Support to Private Sector Reconstruction in Gaza.
