Support for Trade Mark East Africa

Trade Mark East Africa, TMEA, is an international Aid for Trade not-for-profit organization that aims to work in Eastern Africa to 1) increase physical access to markets 2) enhance trade environment 3) improve business competition. In their own words "TradeMark East Africa’s work is underpinned by a series of interrelated propositions that guide what TradeMark East Africa and its partners do. These propositions are underpinned by knowledge, assumptions and beliefs about how and why particular actions are expected to trigger particular changes. Propositions do not predict change. These propositions are called ‘theories of change’. At TradeMark East Africa, the theory of change is synonymous with strategy." Finland supports TMEA to better and integrate the East African markets and the possibilities for international trade, investment and border trade. Finland has funded TMEA with 4 million euros earlier. This funding will be 2 million euros and it will be softly earmarked to Tanzania specific issues. Results from previous funding period have been tremendous which is the reason why Finland continues its support to the programme. For more information visit:
