Institutional Cooperation to Strengthen the Capacities of the MOE in Educator Policy Development

The institutional cooperation (ICI) between the Finnish Ministry for Education and Culture and the Namibian Ministry of Education is the first institutional cooperation project in the field of education on ministerial level. This ICI-project complements the longterm educational cooperation between the countries. The object of the project is to strenghten the capacities of Namibia's Ministry of Education in educator policy development, especially in three subsectors: 1) early childhood developmnet and pre-primary education 2) general education and 3) vocational education and training. Special attention will be given to teacher education and consistency between policies and strategies in different sub-sectors.
