Geological Survey of Finland's support to AGS

Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) strengthens the capabilities of the Afghanistan Geological Survey (AGS) in the prospecting for ore. It has been estimated that Afghanistan has very large potential mineral resources. The exploitation of these resources in the future would increase the economic growth and positively support the development of the society. The cooperation aims to improve AGS’s capabilities in the sector of mining and exploration geophysics. During this five year project GTK will provide diverse training for ten employees of AGS in the mentioned fields of expertise.
