Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, yleisavustus

Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance promotes global immunisation against epidemics and helps vaccinate children against life-threatening infectious diseases. Gavi’s main mission is to save lives and protect the world against the threat of epidemics by promoting equitable uptake and coverage of vaccines in the poorest countries. Due to its unique business model and partnerships, it has the power to negotiate better prices for the world's poorest countries and remove the commercial risks that manufacturers faced in serving this market. Gavi plays a critical role in strengthening primary health care (PHC), bringing us closer to the Sustainable Development Goal 3 of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), ensuring that no one is left behind.
