EU Trust fund (EUTF)
Description
The EU Trust Fund for Colombia was established in December 2016 to sustain the implementation of the peace agreement concluded between the Government and the FARC guerrilla group in September 2016. The EU Trust Fund is focusing its support on the comprehensive agricultural policy, economic activity and productivity in remote rural areas; reinforcing the State presence and restoring social fabric in conflict affected areas; reincorparation of ex-combatants into civilian life. The European Fund for Peace (EFP) provides this year 120 million euros for peace projects in different parts of the country. 19 member states have joined the fund and part of the funding comes from the EU budget. The Finnish contribution in 2019 is 150 000 EUR.
