World Food Program core funding for 2022-2025

Description

World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. In 2021, WFP assisted almost 130 million people in over 120 countries. WFP has double mandate and works in both humanitarian and development assistance, with strong focus on the humanitarian. WFP is also the cluster lead in the UN cluster system in logistics, providing logistics support to other humanitarian actors. Finland supports WFP as life-saving humanitarian assistance is one of the key needs in crisis situations and WFP has proven its value by managing to deliver aid effectively also in the most difficult crisis environments. Finland's core funding for WFP for 2022-2025 is 32 million euros (8 million/year)
