African Development Fund (AfDF) 16th replenishment
Description
African Development Fund (ADF), which is part of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), provides grant assistant and concessional loans to the poorest and most fragile countries of the continent. ADF-16 is structured around two pillars: Sustainable, climate-resilient and quality infrastructure; and Governance, capacity building and sustainable debt management. Cross-cutting themes are climate change, gender equality, private sector development and fragility. Priority areas of ADF operations are energy and energy access, food security and agriculture, industrialization, regional integration and improving Africans' quality of life, incl. education and youth employment. The granted funding is Finland's contribution to the African Development Fund for the replenishment period 2023-2025
