Preparedness and Response to Covid-19
Description
The UNFPA Preparedeness and Response Plan is based on the UNFPA Mandate and Country Program. UNFPA seeks to secure the well-being of women, girls and youth, as well as access to SRHR and GBV services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Access to information on COVID-19 is important for prevention. The project will build capacity, develop prevention, testing capacity and the availability of protective equipment. The Finnish Physicians' Social Responsibility (LSV) is one of UNFPA's partners. LSV strengthens the testing capacity in a laboratory in Hargeisa. UNFPA implements its project through organizations, but procurement is carried out by UNFPA itself. Finland supports the project with 1 million Euros during the year 2020.
