Description
Strengthening Democracy in Myanmar through Gender Responsive Governance is a project implemented by UN Women. It aims to strengthen capacities, systems and processes to mainstream gender equality and women’s empowerment in policies, plans and budgets across government institutions at Union and State levels. The project will work at Union level and in two states namely Kachin and Mon. The overall goal of the project is that by 2023, women and girls contribute to, influence and benefit from a peaceful and inclusive democracy in Myanmar. Finland supports the project's first phase with 4 million Euros during the years 2020-2023.
